Manually vectorized (meaning, did not hit Live Trace button) from a photo of Victor Horta's stairwell in the Hotel Tassel in Belgium.

Edit: I dug up one of the original edits that I'd done of this where the colours were warmer and more vibrant.

thankie! Illustrator and Freehand can be pretty powerful tools if youu can find the time to get to know them. Everything that I used for this piece is nothing that wasn't available by version 7. No fancy tidbits that have been included in CS versions. CS2 was used for this tho.
