Final Fantasy...

So on Friday night, the 9th...I went to the opening concert for the Seattle stop of the Final Fantasy Distant Worlds tour. It was awesomness in a bucket. Also my first time in Benaroya Hall. They had a video projection over the orchestra where they displayed various videos and scenes from the game. The night opened with Liberi Fatali. I forget the string of things they played but it included Aeris's Theme, Man with the Machine Gun (apparently it was the first time being played in the US...)...erm...a big band variant of Chocobo.

Also, what was really cool was that Nobuo-san (the composer...) came out at the beginning of the show and did his bows for everyone and then sauntered off stage to sit with the audience. ^.^ I bet the people he sat amongst were just totally freaking out. XD He had on this rather amusing floppy white hat. I couldn't see it really clearly....He was there for the composer meet and greet after the concert for those who could afford the extra $100 to go. I was not one of those. :/ Ah well. Had they brought in Yoshitaka Amano as well, I would've considered dropping the money for that. I have a stack of stuff I'd love for him to sign. ^.^

For anyone going to this concert...DO NOT LEAVE EARLY! I don't know if they will do this with all stops every performance, but they did pull out a "hidden track" after the credits finished rolling. I saw a handful of folks in front of us stumble out shortly after the standing ovation started. Wondering if they were still hanging around in the doorway to catch that last song or not. SOL for them if not.

Also, if you plan on buying souveniers, I would suggest getting there no less than 45min. before the show starts and get your butt in that line.

Want to go? Here's the tour site: Distant Worlds They did mention something about stopping in Vancouver BC towards the end of the show. But the site shows San Francisco as the next stop so I don't know...

Other Ramblings

Oh boy....I think I've been sucked into the world of collecting geocaching coins.... =_= Good, cause the ones I'm eyeballing are really pretty and I want to get them to keep. Bad, cause it's yet another thing that I've found to spend money on! And no, I've never done geocaching before and don't know much beyond, hunting down these things via GPS, following the directions in the cache, replacing it and logging it online. I would love the chance to go though, so anyone in the Seattle area wanting a buddy to go with...look no further!!!! XD

I also need to win the lottery. The things that wound up on my amazon wishlist last night truly makes me think I am a closet steampunker. *sigh* Brass spyglasses, intricate compass/sundial mechanisms, astrolabes...and the list goes on. Well...my love of astrolabes spans further than just last night. I am also coveting this book that's a catalogue of the Greenwich National Maritime Museum's astrolabe collection. Over $200 though. >.< Still, if the pics are nice and big, it'd be nice to have cause they don't let you take pics at the museum so I resorted to drawing a few as quickly as possible. They had many gorgeous ones there including several that were probably a few inches shy of a small turkey platter size. If anyone gets a chance to travel to London, go visit Greenwich and the site of the prime meridian. They have a lighted line in the paving marking the spot. I have a pic of it buried somewhere in my archive... :/ Lol and then you can also say you've seen my birth town. XD

Hello,

I just read youre question about kelpie and my research, so I will explane to you now.

I'm looking for pictures of gods en godesses, special horse-creatures and things like that. I liked the Medusa kind of look that Kelpie had. It were the two things I were looking for, al into one.
